We conduct basic research on nano- biophotonics, including studies on interaction between nano-materials/devices and biological systems, especially neuronal cells, and optical properties of neuron-nanomaterial interfaces. Based on these fundamental researches, we conduct various engineering projects in advanced brain science applications, such as brain-machine interface systems and nano-photonic biosensor systems.
