Radiological imaging is a unique means for providing information on spatio-temporal activities of biological tissues and therefore widely used in clinical patient care as well as life science research and developments such as new drugs and novel therapeutic techniques.

Conventional techniques, however, have limited ability in providing faithful quantitative information due to problems arising from radiation exposure, noise, distortions, etc. Our laboratory has been developing innovate image computing techniques which enable high throughput and high precision imaging biomarker extraction from a large population clinical images with diverse modalities such as CT, MRI, PET, and ultrasound. We aim to advance our developments by coupling the imaging physics models with deep learning techniques and bring innovations into clinical patient care as well as life science research.
