[나융] Functional Metamaterials and Metadevices

Abstract
Controlling the electromagnetic properties of materials, beyond the limit that is attainable with naturally existing substances, has become a reality with the advent of metamaterials. The collection of structured artificial ‘atoms’ has promised a vast variety of otherwise unexpected physical phenomena so far. Within this rather broad discipline, our group has been working towards the realization and development of metamaterials and metadevices that possess exotic electromagnetic properties. More specifically, following four topics will be discussed.
(1) Strongly capacitively-coupled meta-atom and meta-molecule structures, (2) Electrically controlled active graphene metadevices, and (3) Frequency conversion in linear time-variant metadevices
